Reflections - Part 2

Continuing on our retrospective theme of yesterday, some more images wherein the subject is, literally, reflection. While yesterday's post covered the more classical approach to presenting reflective images, today, we'll explore the wilder side of things!

Many of my most successful reflective images were shot at harbours, where simply walking up and down the quays and docks, casting your eye to and fro can glean some marvelous optical treasures.

As with the above image, I often find a that zooming or cropping in to feature a small portion or detail can produce the most gratifying results.

Sometimes, the utter visual chaos of light, form and colour can yield an image that defies any attempt to discern its origins. This shot below, was taken of the water in a fountain at Granville Island.

I hope these images will stimulate your imagination and help to hone your eye to see the wonderous beauty that is there out there for the looking. Happy snapping!
