You may recall, Dear Reader, that a post last November introduced a very small bear who goes by the name of M. Edward Bear. Well, M. Bear and I recently embarked on an expedition on the Wild Pacific Trail, and we now wish to share the fruits of our labour. You may also recall that M. Bear was very fond of Haiku, and thus he has contributed verse to some of the images.
Wave in the harbour
The sky singing from the stars
Whispers of the tide
This one is not a 'Where's Waldo' shot, so don't bother looking for bears, we just both liked it, so there you are!
Ferns in the valley
They are crying for the night
You are the forest
Egads! Moderately alarmed here... No time for haikus!
Leaf in the clearing
I was moving with the wind
Awakening you
The Salal blossoms
Shift gracefully like the dawn
Spirit of the past
The mountain peak laughed
The woods drifting in the air
The scent of the sea
Paintbrush blossom
Trembled warmly in the sun
The light on the earth
Gray dawn near the rocks
Fondly glowing to the woods
I was the ocean
Waves in the ocean
Floating away from the past
I know where we are
Another shot with no bear, just a profusion of Giant Horsetails.
For those with enquiring minds, this little bear was made by Linda, a dear and close friend of my wife, Marcelle. It is about an inch-and-a-half tall and has articulated limbs and head. It is an absolute marvel of intricate sewing and, as you can plainly see, is simply adorable.
For those with minds that enquire yet further, the haiku is based on an iOS app called 'Haiku Time'. It generates haiku that can be used as is, or modified as you wish to better suit the situation. What exciting times we live in!
Cheers!
